Aju Pharmaceutical, the first in Korea and the second in the world to successfully mass-produce tuberculosis treatment, has grown into a total healthcare group that enhances the well-being of individuals from diagnosis to treatment and prevention. We supply over 290 essential prescription drugs for critical diseases in the medical field. Additionally, starting with anchors, which were previously absent in the domestic market, we have expanded our sports medicine products globally. Furthermore, by utilizing eco-friendly ingredients such as olive leaf extract, we provide a wide range of health functional foods for preventive care.

  • Established Aju Pharmaceutical Industry Co., Ltd.
  • Kwangnam Kim appointed as CEO
  • Launched Asiazit, Korea’s first and the world’s second tuberculosis treatment

1959

  • Introduced Compural, an antipyretic and analgesic, through a technology partnership with Bayer (West Germany)

1961

  • Launched Avomin, an anti-nausea and motion sickness treatment, through a partnership with May & Baker (UK)
  • Introduced Almiaspas, a tuberculosis treatment, in collaboration with Tanabe Pharma (Japan)

1963

  • Expanded injection production facilities

1964

  • Released Iphigit, a tuberculosis treatment, in collaboration with Tanabe Pharma (Japan)
  • Awarded the Presidential Citation for contributions to the tuberculosis eradication program

1966

  • Developed Korea’s first short-acting general anesthetic, Labonal-M Injection, in collaboration with Tanabe Pharma (Japan)

  • Released the urinary tract infection treatment Urovaxom through a technical partnership with OM Pharma (now Vifor Pharma, Switzerland)

  • Produced and supplied PaoSchool Injection for Torii (Japan)

2006

  • Launched the Bronchovaxom COPD treatment through a technical partnership with OM Pharma (now Vifor Pharma, Switzerland)

2007

  • Established the Olea division, a brand specializing in olive leaf health products
